Defines the client-side operations for communicating with a CDO repository over a session protocol. Each operation corresponds to a request handled by the server protocol, while the nested result types carry the repository's reply and any state needed by the session to apply it.

Deprecated methods in this interface are retained for API compatibility only. Implementations should implement the corresponding non-deprecated methods directly and must not use deprecated methods as implementation fallbacks for newer methods, unless explicitly specified otherwise.

In particular, the presence of a deprecated method does not imply that implementations are required to support it; implementations may throw UnsupportedOperationException where appropriate.
